Board approval granted for extension of current Street Trading Permits

The Falls Creek Alpine Resort Management Board have approved an extension for Falls Creek Street Traders for a further 12 month term. As per the current Street Activation Policy, the current permits were due to expire in late 2022.

A tendering process to existing and interested stakeholders was due to occur at the expiration of the current permits. However, as a result of the losses experienced during the 2020-2022 Summer and Winter seasons, the Board have agreed to offer the extension until 2023 and hope the further extension of current permits will assist with recovery of losses from the economic impacts of the pandemic and the previous bushfire season.

At the expiration of the current permits in late 2023, FCRM will conduct a public tender process for current and interested operators.
